The Darwin Ranch Moving onThis exclusive 160 acre inholding—completely surrounded by National Forest and the Gros Ventre Wilderness—remains preserved much as it was when settled 100 years ago.  It has served the Woodman family as an intimate guest ranch and personal residence over the last 46 years. The ranch is the only private property within a small, flat, natural basin bounded by the Gros Ventre Range and three 10,000 foot ridges. This small valley constitutes an idyllic, picturesque homestead unique to the Bridger-Teton Forest.  The ranch buildings are situated at the confluence of the congressionally designated “Wild and Scenic” Gros Ventre River and Kinky Creek.
